Getting older doesn’t mean you enjoy hiking, dancing, sports, and/or other physical activities any less, but it can feel like doing them is impossible! Getting older can mean engaging in these adventures is uncomfortable or painful. The natural tendency when you feel pain is to stop being active and go see your doctor, chiropractor, or massage therapist. But, even if you find relief, you may also find that you don’t “stay better” and discomfort or stiffness is back within a few weeks or months.
What I do is find the root causes and challenges that are causing your joint pain and mobility issues, and create a customized exercise plan (that incorporates the advice of your other practitioners if applicable) that you can start right away. This gives you a focused and holistic start to your long-term goal of resolving your aches and limitations and getting you back to living an active life and seeking adventures!
